Since 2.6.0 release you can search for specific attachments within your Jira projects. You can search for attachments by the following criteria:

  • file name
  • file extension
  • category
  • uploader

Searching for attachments

  1. Open the project within which you want search for attachments.
  2. On the navigational sidebar, select Find Attachments. The Search for attachments page opens.
  3. On the opened page, use the filters to specify the search criteria, as follows:
    1. User - start entering names of users who uploaded attachments. The app will prompt you with possible matches.
    2. Category - select one or multiple categories for search.
    3. Text - enter the file name, its part, or file extension to search for.
  4. Click Search.
