On this page you will find the following macro combunations:


Table Filter & Chart from Table

  1. Create a table or add the macro outputting the table data or include the excerpted table with data values.
  2. Insert the Table filter macro and place the table (the macro outputting the table data or the Table Excerpt Include macro) within the macro.
  3. Add the filters and configure the filtration parameters.
  4. Insert the Chart from Table macro.
  5. Place the Table filter macro with the table inside the Chart from Table macro.
  6. Configure the parameters of the chart.
  7. Save the page.
  8. Change the filtration criteria. Filtration will be automatically applied to the data table and the chart will be automatically updated.
  9. Change the chart parameters if needed.

Table Filter & Pivot Table

  1. Create a table or add the macro outputting the table data or include the excerpted table with data values.

  4. Insert the Pivot Table macro.
  5. Place the Table filter macro with the table inside the Pivot Table macro.
  6. Configure the parameters of the pivot table.
  7. Save the page.
  8. Change the filtration criteria. Filtration will be automatically applied to the data table and the pivot table will be automatically updated.
  9. Change the pivot table parameters if needed.

Jira Issues Macro & Table Filter & Pivot Table & Chart from Table

  1. Add the Jira Issues macro and configure its parameters.
  2. Insert the Table filter macro and place the Jira Issues macro within the macro.
  3. Add the filters and configure the filtration parameters.
  4. Insert the Pivot Table macro.
  5. Place the Table filter macro with the table inside the Pivot Table macro.
  6. Configure the parameters of the pivot table.
  7. Insert the Chart from Table macro.
  8. Place the Pivot Table macro inside the Chart from Table macro.
  9. Configure the parameters of the chart.
  10. Save the page.
  11. Change the filtration criteria and the pivot table parameters. The chart will be automatically updated.
  12. Change the chart parameters if needed.

The Table Filter, Pivot Table, Chart from Table macros work only with the rows currently displayed on a page. They can't influence or make changes (such as collecting not displaying data) to the built-in (Jira Issues, Task Report, Page Properties Report) and third-party macros.

To filter more values within one page you need to increase the number of rows per page to display.

Page Properties Report Macro & Table Filter & Pivot Table & Chart from Table

  1. Add the Page Properties Report macro and configure its parameters.
  2. Insert the Table filter macro and place the Page Properties Report macro within the macro.
  3. Add the filters and configure the filtration parameters.
  4. Insert the Pivot Table macro.
  5. Place the Table filter macro with the table inside the Pivot Table macro.
  6. Configure the parameters of the pivot table.
  7. Insert the Chart from Table macro.
  8. Place the Pivot Table macro inside the Chart from Table macro.
  9. Configure the parameters of the chart.
  10. Save the page.
  11. Change the filtration criteria and the pivot table parameters. The chart will be automatically updated.
  12. Change the chart parameters if needed.

The Table Filter and Charts app is compatible with the built-in Confluence macros and the third-party apps, that output the table data. All you just need is to paste the macro into the Table Filter, Pivot Table or Chart from Table macros and that's done.

The Cloud version of the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app is compatible with the built-in Confluence macros only. The technical limitations of the Cloud ecosystem make impossible to use the macros from different third-party apps together.
