Confluence Administrator should configure status sets before use. For more details see the user's documentation.

Please note that all sets and statuses are available to all Confluence users.

Confluence Administrator can configure different status sets. Status sets can be configured using the Handy Macros Settings in the Confluence Administrator console (Confluence Administration > General Configuration > Handy Macros Settings).

Create a set of statuses

  1. Enter the name of the set.
  2. Click Add.

Edit sets of statuses

  1. Locate the appropriate status set.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Edit the set name as you need.
  4. Click Save.

Remove sets of statuses

  1. Locate the appropriate status set.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion by clicking Remove.

Add statuses to a status set

  1. Locate and click the appropriate status set.
  2. Enter a status name.
  3. Pick the color for text and background. There are three ways to do so:
    1. Select the color using the color picker
    2. Specify color typing it in the color field (green, black, and so on)
    3. Specify color hex code
  4. Click Add.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to add as many statuses as you need.

Use minimal width for Handy Status

This feature is available starting from Handy Macros 1.10.0.

This option allows you to make your status macros smaller when short texts for statuses are used.

  1. Click the appropriate status set.
  2. Click the cogwheel icon and select the Use minimal width option.
  3. Click Save.

This option will be ignored if the text in the status lozenge exceeds the width of 80px.

Edit statuses in status set

  1. Select and click the appropriate status set.
  2. Select the appropriate status inside the status set and click Edit.
  3. Edit status name, text, and background colors as you need.
  4. Click Save.

Remove statuses from status set

  1. Locate and click the appropriate status set.
  2. Locate the appropriate status to delete.
  3. Click Delete, then click Remove.

Enable or disable macros on the instance level

Handy Page Diff, Handy Heading, and Handy Tasks can be disabled for the whole Confluence instance in the Confluence Administrator console (Confluence Administration > General Configuration > Handy Macros Settings).
