The Search function allows users to find and insert LaTeX commands by either typing:

  • the name of a LaTeX command (e.g., \alpha, \sqrt)

  • or a natural language keyword (e.g., “square root”, “angle”, “sum”).

Thus, both beginners and experienced users can easily find the command they need.

Where to find the Search field

  • The search field is built into the LaTeX symbols keyboard.

  • The keyboard opens automatically when you open the macro.

  • To manually open or close the keyboard, click the keyboard iconin the toolbar.

How to use Search

  1. Start typing in the search box within the keyboard.

  2. You can search by:

    • LaTeX command (\theta, \leq, etc.)

    • Plain English terms (“theta”, “less than”, etc.)

  3. Matching symbols will appear in real-time below the search bar.

Inserting symbols

  • Click on any result to insert the corresponding symbol or command into the formula input field.

  • The symbol is inserted at the current cursor position, so you can precisely control where it goes in your formula.
