FAQ - General Questions
1. How do I install this app?
You can install it with the help of Universal Plugin Manager or manually.
2. What can I do if I can't find and add the macros?
Make sure the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence is installed in your Confluence instance. The app is not built-in. Install Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence from the Atlassian Marketplace.
3. How can I find pages where the app macros are used? How to locate the number of individual users of the app?
As an administrator, you are able to find the number of pages with the app macros and pages themselves in the Macro Usage section of the Confluence Administration console. Access
> General Configuration > Macro Usage to locate the corresponding macros list (as in the screenshots below) or the definitive macroName parameters' list.
The macros list corresponds to the macroName parameters. For the macros provided by our app, you can find them in the summary table.

4. How to migrate the app to Confluence Cloud?
Please refer to this page: Migration from Data Center to Cloud - and also bear in mind multiple minor differences in functionality between Data Center and Cloud versions of the app.
5. Can I buy the app for a limited number of users in Confluence?
Following Atlassian's policy, all Marketplace apps must match (or exceed) the parent product's tier, i.e., you need to purchase the app for the same number of users or more than you have in Confluence.
6. What happens with tables wrapped in the macros after the purchased license expiration?
Cloud/Data Center versions:
After the end of the paid subscription, the macros bundled in the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app become unavailable.
However, your source table data is not missed. You need to copy-paste tables outside the macro bodies and then remove the macros.
Server version:
When a commercial license is expired, you can continue using the app. Your table data is also not missed.
But there is no ability to update the app to the latest versions.
7. What happens with tables wrapped in the macros if the app is deleted/uninstalled?
In case the app is deleted/uninstalled from an instance the outputs of the macros bundled in Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence become unavailable.
However, the source table data stored inside the bodied macros is not lost. You can copy and paste the tables outside the macro bodies in the page editor and then remove the macros if needed.
If you change your mind and reinstall our app later, the previously inserted macros (created before the app was uninstalled) will work again exactly as they did before.
What concerns spreadsheets (Table Spreadsheet, Spreadsheet from Table), they are stored as Confluence attachments. You can open/restore them via our macros later when the app license becomes active again. And you can also export the required spreadsheets in .csv and .xlsx formats in advance before deleting the app.
8. Why might my trial license not work even though it is displayed as active?
The app includes a trial overuse lock. If too many trial licenses have been generated for the same instance, the app blocks the generation and application of additional trials. When this limit is reached, only a commercial license will unlock full app functionality going forward.
9. Why some of the app's modules are disabled?
When you go to the Confluence Administration console
> Atlassian Marketplace > Manage apps (1), locate the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app (2) and check its modules (3), you may see that some of them are disabled by default:
- The Velocity Allowlist (velocity-allowlist) module is required for Confluence 9, you can learn more in the Atlassian documentation. No action is required: if you have the suitable Confluence version, this module will be enabled automatically
- Spreadsheet from Table (spreadsheet-body-table) module is required for the Spreadsheet from Table macro: if you want to enable the macro, you need to enable the module manually. By doing so, you consent to the data from the macro body being saved as a snapshot that is available to other users with the page view&attachments permissions
