Interactive Gantt Timeline automatically keeps both clients and board owners informed about important project updates.

Client notifications

Clients receive email notifications from Interactive Gantt Timeline in the following cases:

  1. when the Gantt is shared with them,

  2. when a new comment is added to an item,

  3. when their timeline suggestion is reviewed (approved or declined).

Notifications are sent via the Postmark email service.
warning Clients do not need a monday.com account or any additional setup to receive these emails.

Notification logic for reviewed timeline suggestions

When a timeline suggestion is reviewed, notifications behave as follows:

  • If an item has N suggestions under review:

    • 1 approved suggestion → the author receives an approval notification.

    • other declined suggestions → their authors each receive a decline notification.

  • If the project manager manually declines a single suggestion, only the author of that suggestion receives a decline notification.

This ensures that each client receives only the notification relevant to their own feedback.

monday.com notifications for board owners 

Board owners receive monday.com notifications when:

  • a new timeline suggestion is submitted by a client,

  • a new comment is added to an item.

These notifications appear as monday.com updates, helping board owners react quickly without constantly monitoring the Gantt view.
