When you create a new quiz it has a default page that participants see when they start a quiz. The link to this page is shown in the quiz settings on the quiz page:

A quiz start page includes the ‘Quiz Setting’ macros that are used to display information about a quiz.

The ‘Quiz Setting’ macro has the following types available:

  • Total - number of questions included in the quiz
  • Target - number of questions that must be answered correctly to pass
  • Time limittime given to complete a quiz
  • Free text - number of free text questions included in the quiz

To set a custom start page for a quiz, a quiz author can:

  • edit a default quiz start page, or
  • create a new page and specify it in quiz settings

If no page is selected in the ‘Quiz start page’ section of quiz settings, the default add-on page is used.
