Viewing the Fixed in Build Data

  1. Open the JIRA issue.
  2. Locate the Trigger build link and click it.

  3. In the Trigger build form, click Confirm.

  4. Once you have run the build, the notification will be displayed in the form.

  5. In case of any unexpected error, the corresponding notification will be displayed in the form too.

Viewing Build History

  1. Fixed in Build field. Name of the custom field may vary depending on your configuration.

  2. The field will contain the number of the build that fixes the issue or adds the requested feature. The field is populated automatically depending on the defined configuration.
  3. You can click the build number and seamlessly transition to TeamCity.

Populating the Fixed in Build Field Manually

You have a capability to manually select the appropriate build number for the Fixed in Build field. The scenario may vary depending on the mode the field operates in, as follows:

  • If the field is populated automatically, after the manual entry of the required build number the population mode for the field will be switched to manual.
  • If the field is populated manually, after the manual entry of the required build number the configuration of the field will be preserved.
  1. Open the JIRA issue.
  2. Click the View history link. Alternatively, you can open the Trigger build form and click View history link.

  3. In the opened Builds history form, you can view the following information about the build:
    • Branch - TeamCity branch which the build relates to.
    • Build Number - build number within the project.
    • Start Date - time and date when the build was run.
    • Changes - description of changes specified by the developer.
    • Duration - duration of the build procedure.
    • Tests - number of passed tests.
  4. Click Close when complete
  5. Switch to the TeamCity tab.
  6. Locate the build that you want to enter into the Fixed in Build field.
  7. Hover over this build.
  8. Click the Assign the build number to the custom field  icon.

  9. In the Assign build form, confirm the operation. If you have multiple fields of the same type, you will be prompted to select the field you want to populate.

  10. The build number will be populated into the corresponding field.

If the field already stores some build number, the old value will be rewritten.
