When you create a new discussioncreating Talk discussions, you can also restrict viewing it them to certain users and/or user groups. There're two three ways to do that:

Setting Talk Permissions in the Edit mode
Once you have entered the first comment, click the Restrict link.
You are prompted to specify users or user groups that can view and comment your talk. Just start typing names of users or user groups, and select the appropriate entries from the matching results.

To restrict viewing a specific discussion to a list of users and/or user groups do the following:
- Start a discussion as described in Getting Started. In case you want to change permissions for an existing discussion, skip this step.
- Click the lock icon in the discussion cloud. You will see a list of users who can view this discussion (empty for a new discussion if not specified otherwise for the space, see below for details).
- Type name of a user and/or user group to enable viewing this discussion for them. Click Apply.
- If you need to add more users/user groups, repeat step 3.
- To delete a user/user group from a list, click next to their name.
Setting Talk Permissions in the Edit mode
- Start a discussion as described in Starting a New Discussion (from text editor). In case you want to change permissions for an existing discussion, skip this step.С
- In the macro window, click Restrict.
- Go through steps 3-5 described in Setting Talk Permissions in the View mode above.
