Use case

You need to add a column with manual comments to the Jira Issues macro output. These comments are not coming from Jira, you add them manually in Confluence just for clarification.

Solution

  1. Switch the page to the edit mode.

  2. Insert the Table Transformer macro and paste the Jira Issues macro within its body. As every issue is supposed to have a specific comment, don't forget to show the 'Key' column with the unique issue keys.

  3. Create a manual table with comments and other notes. Put it inside the same Table Transformer macro.
  4. This manually created table should also contain a column with unique identifiers of the issues: recreate the 'Key' column from the Jira Issues macro. Give the same name to the column and type in the required issue keys. So, your rows will look like "Issue Key" ↔ "Related Comment".
  5. Select the Table Transformer macro and click Edit.

  6. In the Presets tab select the Lookup tables preset. The 'Key' column with the unique issue keys will be automatically chosen for matching.

  7. Save the macro and the page.

A workaround in this case is to place the Jira Issues macro inside the Spreadsheet from Table macro. The output of the Jira Issues macro will be turned into a live spreadsheet, and you can add the required comments directly to this sheet.
