Users receive email notifications on Talk actions when a new Talk discussion is started, a Talk thread is removed or archived, a new reply or Like is added:
- on pages they are watching
- on pages they are not watching but which are located in a space they are watching
There're also email notifications on the activity in talks a user started or participated in and talks in which a user was mentioned. There is no notification when a Talk comment is edited.
Note for administrators
Email notifications are sent in batches. The default batching window is 10 minutes. System Administrators can modify that window:
- Go to Scheduled Jobs in Confluence Administration
- Edit Talk Mail Job to define a new schedule
