Installation
1. How do I install Awesome Graphs?
Please refer to the installation guide for instructions.
2. During installation, I am requested to give Awesome Graphs access to read my repositories. Why?
Due to the Bitbucket scopes' granularity peculiarities, the repository scope allows the App to not only read the commit metadata but also to read the repository files themselves. Nevertheless, the App doesn't work with repository files directly, doesn't clone repositories, and never writes to repositories. The App interacts with Bitbucket through the standard Bitbucket REST API and only persists the metadata to the database. Please refer to the Privacy Policy and Security page for more details.
Graphs and Reports
1. I can't access a graph/report. What should I do?
Please try either of the following:
1) If you are using an ad blocker, try disabling it and accessing graphs and reports again.
2) If you are using an ad blocker VPN/Proxy, try disabling it and accessing graphs and reports again.
3) Contact our support team.
2. What graphs are available in Awesome Graphs for Bitbucket Cloud?
Currently, there are 5 out-of-the-box graphs available in the app:
- Contributors graph helps track commit and lines of code contributions for each developer
- Top Committers Report reviews individual commit frequency and trends
- Resolution Time Distribution Report provides statistics on pull request resolution times
- Commit Activity Report helps you analyze commit activity both on large and narrow time scales
- Punchcard helps you see when your team is the most active
3. Why in Contributors in some individual graphs contributor name is a link and in some it's text?
If a contributor's name is a text, that means that the contributor is not a Bitbucket user. For Bitbucket users, contributors' names are links to their user profiles.
4. Why does the same contributor have several graphs in Contributors?
In case a contributor has several Bitbucket accounts, there will be several graphs for that person in the contributors list in Contributors. In order to merge them, follow the instructions here.
5. How can I merge the contributions of the same user made from different email addresses?
First, you need to set email aliases in Bitbucket Cloud. After you set an email alias, it will be necessary to rebuild the app index. In order to do it, please, contact us and provide us with the repository UUID and we will reset the index for the repo.
You may find your repository UUID as follows:
- Navigate to Repository Settings
- Select Repository Details
- Scroll down and click on the Advanced section
- The UUID of your repository will be displayed under the UUID section
6. Are merge commits counted in graphs?
No. Only regular commits are taken into account.
7. Do you offer REST API?
Yes! Awesome Graphs REST API offers granular commit, pull request, and lines of code data, as well as aggregated statistics. Please refer to our REST API documentation to learn more about its capabilities.
8. I am experiencing infinite loading of the Graphs page. What should I do?
Please try either of the following:
1) If you are using an ad blocker, try disabling it and accessing graphs and reports again.
